2019: The Best You That You Can Be
It’s almost that time of year where Christmas is over in about .2 seconds and the year is about to cross the finish line. Everyone starts to stress about what their “new year resolution” is gonna be. The gym memberships are at their peak in sales and people think they will just magically give up sweets in a day. The thing is, for a lot of people-not all, but a lot of people these “resolutions” only last the first month of the year.
The great thing is there are no rules to these new year resolutions. If you drink a soda after you said you weren’t going to nobody is going throw you in jail for it. The whole point of these “promises” is to better ourselves. I think it’s smart and a whole lot easier to be honest with yourself so you aren’t so down if you don’t follow through with whatever it may be.
So I have a little idea that I’m going to do this coming up new year and I strongly encourage whoever is reading this to do so as well. Grab a pen and paper or even put it in the notes in your phone and instead of one big unrealistic new years resolution, write down a few smaller things that you can mix in to better yourself. 1 or 2 hours every day turn your phone off and just be present, go outside for 30 minutes every day and get fresh air to just walk and release, drink a big glass of water first thing when you wake up or add one fruit or veggie to every meal. No matter how big or small your resolutions are- you can achieve them.
Write down your goals and link smaller steps that you can take to reach them. Nothing will happen over night but you are the only one in charge of making yourself better. Make every day better than yesterday. Have faith in yourself and just remember that you can do whatever you set your mind to.
Happy 2019, Babes!
Thank u, next.
