The best places to hang in Nashville, from Threads Babes who call it home.

If you haven't heard, Threads Nashville is officially open and rockin'. We've fallen in love with this city, its music scene, coffee culture, and unique restaurants. We also adore Nashville Threads Babes.. they are crazy talented, creative, and know this city inside out. So we sat down with two of our favorites to learn about this city beyond the touristy spots and find out where the locals spend their days off.

Meet Kelsey, Hillary, & a unique side of Nashville you didn't realize existed.

-Where do you love to grab a drink & what do you order?

My favorite since I moved here four years ago is Burger Up. I love to stop by for happy hour and sit at the bar. I love the the Steigl Raddler + tequila combo they have.

-Your favorite creative hub

I work out of WELD Nashville. It's a co-working space in Nashville that is home to many incredible small businesses, creatives, photographer, videographers, writers, and so much more. It has an incredible photography studio that I shoot from on a regular basis, and I love that if I have a photography question there's always at least five stellar photographers on hand to give em advice. It's also really inspiring to see the projects other creatives are working on. I'm constantly challenged and inspired by all the talent there and love being able to call it home! (weld.co)

-Best place to catch live music

I love Robert's Western World on Broadway. It's one of a few places in Nashville that hasn't changed in what seems like the last 50 years. I love to grab a PBR and two-step to the incredible musicians that are there every single night.

-Favorite restaurant

Mas Tacos for sure. It is 100% my favorite & I could honestly eat tacos everyday! My gal Teresa created magic for sure when she opened up! My favorite thing to order is the sweet potato and quinoa taco, fried avocado taco, and an elote (grilled street corn)!

-Best coffee shop & favorite drink

I'm a big fan of Crema. I like to order the ice coffee + avocado toast.

-Ideal Nashville date night

Rolf & Daughters has a great space and even better food. It's really intimate and cozy and great for date night.

-Best place to adventure/go off the grid in or around Nashville

I love hanging out at Percy Priest Lake because it's still in Nashville! You can rent jet skis, just float around, kayak, paddle board, rent a boat – it's really a treat to have so close to town!

-Favorite annual event in Nashville

My favorite event in Nashville (even though it's monthly, not annually) is the Full Moon Pickin' Party at Percy Warner. It's so cool to see so many musicians get together and hang out, plus there's no end of great music!

-Best breakfast in town

I love SkyBlue Cafe. Brunch can be quite an event, but the chill vibe at Sky Blue and Eggs Benedict keep me coming back over and over.

Hillary Davis @hilldots

Hillary is new to the Nashville scene, just recently moving up from Atlanta with her husband and little Bassett Hound, Henley. She has been in the hair industry for two years and dreams of soon getting to work on a local Tennessee farm. She is a foodie, coffee connoisseur, and knows/loves all things Nashville.

-Where do you love to grab a drink & what do you order?

Bastion- Our friends took us here on our first night in Nashville, and it is now a staple for us. It reminds me of my favorite memories of home, with antiques, board games, and all the nachos you can dream of. It is a place my husband and I can always agree on, I order a fancy cocktail and he can get a beer and shot of whiskey for $5. Try the punch (they create a new one daily and it never disappoints) or the Black Sails.

-Best coffee shop & favorite drink

Hands down, Crema. (I am not just saying that because my husband works there, I promise.) They roast their own beans and their food is locally sourced and it's incredible. It is a great place to sit on the patio, with an amazing view of the city, talk to the locals, and maybe see a famous musician or two. If you are looking to try something special, I recommend the Grounds Keeper.

-Girls Night Out

I would have to say Moto Cucina, it is the best place to go out and share a few small plates. I love Italian food, and this place does it right. They have a great bar and of course their fresh, made in house pasta is to die for.

-Best breakfast in town

Steadfast Coffee: Their coffee is great, but their food is why we always end up there on our days off. It's always tempting to try something new, but my go to is the poached egg sandwich. Arugula, avocado spread, brioche bread.... melts in your mouth! And if you love coffee, I recommend their drip + a shot of espresso, it is only $5!

-Ideal Nashville date night

When moving from Atlanta, we thought we would be lowering our standards on food, but we were totally wrong. We have lots of favorites but we REALLY love Burger Up. It is perfect for both meat lovers & vegetarians. Make sure to get the truffle fries and the 12 South Lemonade or Primrose to drink (and my husband loves the Krispy Creme Pudding). Next up on our date night list is, City House & Husk!

Thanks Kelsey & Hillary for sharing your favorite spots with us! Don't forget to follow them on Instagram, @kelseycherry @hilldots to keep up with their Nashville adventures.

Come hang with us at our Grand opening party! Thursday June 16th from 5-8PM.
