DIY Halloween Painted Pumpkins: Fun things to do this Fall
Spooky Stuff ☾
Decorating pumpkins is a must for getting into the Halloween spirit, but we didn't want to deal with all the mess of carving this year! We took a twist on our usual tradition and painted our pumpkins instead. Not only is this DIY easy and free of mess, but you can get even more creative with your pumpkin designs and truly dive into the detail with paint!
Here's what you need:
Assorted pumpkins
Paint brushes
Assorted colors of acrylic paint
Paint pens
Cup of water
Paint palette or paper plate
Sharpie pen
Pick Your Perfect Pumpkins
Find your mini (or full size) pumpkin family at a local pumpkin patch or grocery store! Each pumpkin is unique and special in it's own way, it can be so hard to decide. We picked pumpkins with longer stems so we could paint those as well. Try to get different shapes and sizes for a beautiful display!
Halloween Mood
Light some fall-scented candles (we love pumpkin mocha), grab your PSL or Pumpkin Cold Brew, play your fave Halloween-themed songs, and paint the night away! (We were jammin' to this fun Halloween Spotify Playlist). You can use a Sharpie to sketch your designs to guide you as you paint. We decided to stick to a celestial theme with these pumpkins! ☆
The best part about painting your pumpkins is that if you mess up, you can just let it dry and paint it over. Carving isn't always this forgiving!
