Chasing Fall | Travel on a Budget

Hey Threads babes, I don't know about you but we're hanging onto every bit of Fall over here–we've watched the leaves change from green to red, red to orange then orange to yellow and now they've fallen to the ground in a thick blanket. We hate to see Fall go, so to wrap up November we took a little road trip in hopes of finding the last bits of it. We live in Atlanta, Georgia just hours away from so much beauty, our favorite thing to do is to road trip with a picnic packed and a loose destination.

We picked Tallulah Falls as our ending spot, it's about 90 miles and an hour and a half north– a perfect place to take a day trip to. The last time we planned a trip to Tallulah we ended up stopping for a quick hike down to the falls then headed north in search of a cute little coffee shop. We did find the coffee shop and also found ourselves driving up the edge of the Blueridge parkway, so we decided to continue, our new destination was Asheville- a quick stop for a bite to eat and a look around.

These unplanned happenings make for the best adventures

Head out on your adventure early in the morning, make no plans and set no time limits, this will leave you less stressed and give ya more time for adventures- like our unplanned trip to Asheville. Pack snacks, a lunch and plenty of water so you aren't tempted to stop and spend money along the way.

Ditch the Maps, Follow the Road Signs

You're allowed to use your phone for directions but turn off your maps when you're about 20 minutes out, trust me– there are signs to get you from here to the park and the prettiest, untouched places in between. Follow the roads up the mountains, even if they lead to a no outlet, there's a view up there begging to be seen. Wherever you end up make sure to stop and watch the sunset, there's really no rush to get back to the city and sit in traffic anyway.

And so the adventure begins babes
