4 Of The Best Festivals You've Never Heard Of

My heart will always belong to music festivals, it's where my fondest memories lie. Not only do I get to see many of my favorite bands in one place, but I get to share those unforgettable experiences with my friends- and that to me is priceless.  I have found 4, up and coming music festivals with amazing headliners you do not want to miss this summer!

1. Candler Park Music & Food Festival (Atl, GA)

Candler Park Music Festival is a light-hearted 2 day festival from June 2-June 3 featuring awesome artists including Matisyahu, Joe Russo's Almost Dead, The Motet, Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, and my personal favorite, Railroad Earth. The park will be filled with the best Atlanta food trucks, Terrapin beer, and lots of good vibes. Tickets are only $25 this year so if you live in the Atlanta area, it is definitely worth going!

2. Wanee Music Festival (Live Oak, FL)

The annual Wanee Music Festival takes place on April 20-April 22 this year at the magical Spirit of Suwannee Music Park! If you're a jam band fan, this is the festival for you. With major headliners including Widespread Panic, Bob Weir (a founding member of the Grateful Dead), Trey Anastasio Band (guitarist of Phish), Government Mule, and Dark Star Orchestra. As if the music wasn't enough, Spirit of Suwannee has to be one of my favorite festival grounds. As night falls, the whole forest lights up and you can see every star in the sky!

3. Sloss Music & Arts Festival (Bhm, AL)

For all our Birmingham #threadsbabes, we have Sloss Music & Arts Festival to look forward to. This lineup could not be more fun! Headliners include Alabama Shakes, Widespread Panic, Odesza, Phantogram, Tycho, Cherub, and so many more! There is almost every genre on this lineup, so if you are a music lover like I am, you will definitely enjoy this fest.

4. Beale Street Music Festival (Memphis, TN)

Considered to be the start of Memphis in May, The Beale Street Music Festival will take place May 5- May 7 and is definitely living up to its name. The lineup has a range of genres with leading artists including Snoop Dogg, Kings of Leon, Grouplove, WSP, Ziggy Marley, Griz, The Revivalists, and one of my all time favorite bands MGMT. Whether you're into indie rock, the blues, hip hop, jam bands, or EDM, you will be sure to have plenty of fun at this eclectic all-encompassing music festival.

Whether it's a local day festival, or a far away venture, I encourage everyone to get a crew together and let loose at a music festival. Escape the real world and dance away with your friends- it's good for the soul. :)
