What's In My Bag: Sorority Rush 101

Your guide to everything worth packing during Sorority Rush Week.

First, you need a bag!

What good is this list if you don’t have a bag to carry it all in?! I highly recommend something that will hold all of your stuff (tote bags are your bff)! Here are a couple of options I would suggest:

Stay hydrated + cool…

It is a long week trying to beat the heat, and all the while you are talking pretty much non-stop every day you’re there. A water bottle + good portable fan are key! Here are some recommendations for my cool hydrated queens:

Smell your best!

Nobody wants to smell in general, but especially when talking to people so closely all day. You’ll want fresh breath and fresh skin. Here are some of my fave products that can help you stay smelling yummy all day:

Well, you should look + feel your best too!

I am a big proponent of carrying lipliner, gloss, lip balm, powder, and a good hairbrush! You never know when you are going to need a quick touch-up so it is great to always have it on deck. Here are some of my suggestions:

Avoid pain at all costs…

These days can be tiring and somewhat uncomfortable when wearing heels, standing, walking and talking all day every day (though worth it). Bandaids, an extra pair of comfy shoes, and some ibuprofen can be your saving grace! Find links to my fave brands here:

Take it all in!

You might have a forgetful memory like me, so I recommend bringing a pen and notebook to write down important notes about the girls you talk to and the houses you like. This helps you stay involved in between houses, and is a good reference tool when trying to decide which houses you like best. Here is the best journal and my fave pens ever (great for class too!):

Just in case stuff you might need…

In case you need to call in for backup, I would bring some safety pins, some fashion tape, floss, snacks (if you get hungry every hour like me lol), a phone charger and anything else you like to have in case of emergency.

I promise you, this week will be one you won’t forget! Remember to pack your bag well, but mainly just to have fun and be yourself. Embrace this time in your life because it can truly be life changing!
