5 Outfits Perfect for Friendsgiving

5 Outfits Perfect for Friendsgiving

What to wear for Thanksgiving 2024

‘Tis the season for neutrals, sweaters, and boots. With the temperatures dropping and winds picking up, it’s time to hold your friends as close as possible and what better way to do that than a good ol’ fashion Friendsgiving. To ensure you have the best gathering and cutest Instagram-worthy pics, I have pieced together the coziest couture outfits for you to shop at your fingertips! Now get your turkeys in a line and let’s pick the perfect outfit for a festive friend-aissance 🍁

1.) Sweater Weather

Denim and knitwear? For Fall? Revolutionary! Okay, okay… I know this isn’t the most creative ensemble, but it’s timeless and nostalgic for a reason. The perfect chunky sweater can totally transform any day into a festive and comforting moment (plus it hides the post-feast bloat :).

An oversized sweater is an absolute staple for any fall gathering. The Carolina Color Block Sweater is a great option for a more formal Friendsgiving with its structured mock neck fit and quality ribbed tight-knit construction. The Reese Striped Sweater is perfect for a low-key and laid-back get-together, with its ultra-oversized, slouchy fit and relaxed scoop neckline. Another sweater adjacent piece you can opt for is a simple pullover like our Haisley Collared Pullover. Available in cobalt blue and creamy beige, this pullover is ultra-soft with its drop shoulder and baggy fit. Browse our timeless collection of Levi’s to find your perfect pair of darling denim jeans and you’re ready for all things pumpkin spice!

2.) Little Black Dress + Big Black Boots

Since society as a whole has collectively decided to ban white after Labor Day, we wear black. The perfect little black dress is quintessential to any special occasion. A successful cocktail dress is versatile and timeless, so let’s spice this little number up with some faux leather boots!

The Bethany Asymmetrical Cinch Mini Dress is the perfect blend of understated and whimsical. With its strapless A-line silhouette, flattering side ruching, and asymmetrical ruffle hem, you’ll be memorable and trendy all night long. Our best-selling Zola One Shoulder Mini Dress now comes in black, ready for all night-time festivities this holiday season. With its iconic one-shoulder, bodycon fit, and tasteful twist-front detailing, it’s no wonder this is a hot commodity time after time. Finally, the Alaina Strapless Wrap Bow Mini Dress can almost be considered a mix of these two beauties. Designed with a strapless, bodycon fit, this mini dress features an asymmetrical front bow tie wrap detail that adds the perfect dose of charm and character to a staple style. Good luck choosing! Pair any of these with a black faux-leather heeled boot, and pop the champagne!..I mean Martinelli’s.

3.) Match Made in Heaven

Everyone knows a matching set is basically a cheat sheet for an outfit…happy midterms season :’). Anyways… matching skirt and top sets are a great way to spice up the look instead of wearing a dress! They are also a breeze to style high-fashion, especially when they are neutral and monochrome.

We have an ample cornucopia of neutral matching sets for you to graze, but here are my fall favorites. To begin, the Kaylor Matching Set is a flirty option with its feminine smocked puff sleeves, off the shoulder neckline, and a ruffle skort. Available in Vintage Cream, this set is the perfect daytime style. A more formal style is the Carrington Matching Set in Charcoal, with its butter-soft, ultra-stretchy fabric and sultry snug fit. The off-the-shulder neckline, flattering side-ruching, and high leg slit make this set beyond romantic and dreamy. For a more minimalistic approach, I recommend the Amiri Satin Matching Set in Chocolate Brown. Featuring a clean, straight silhouette, the little details including the asymmetrical tank hem and subtly shimmer of the fabric, this set worthy of any occasion. Last but not least: The Serena Matching Maxi Set. A fresh take on a bold pattern, this chic and playful is sure to catch some eyes with it’s mix or floral and leopard print. The off the shoulder neckline gives this set a sleek but effortless look that is sure to comfortable all night long. So…is it a match? <3

4. Faux-Leather Era

Did someone say leather weather? Faux leather is the perfect way to stay warm, but still dressy in essence. November is the perfect time to start incorporating some edgy vegan leather into your wardrobe and style scope. Shop our broad selection of faux leather here, but for now here are the trendiest must-haves that are perfect for a festive Thanksgiving gathering.

Starting off strong with the bold and beautiful Katella Vegan Leather Straight Leg Pants. Featuring a straight leg pant silhouette and a high waisted rise, these pants pair seamlessly with any top. For a sexy moment, check out the Nika One Shoulder Leather Bodycon Mini Dress: the perfect fall cocktail formal mini dress. With a classic A-line silhouette, one shoulder neckline, and ruched sides, this bodycon mini dress is the perfect balance of sweet and spicy. Pair this dress with the Roxy Faux Leather Bomber Jacket, the universal leather jacket and perfect candidate for your formal outerwear needs. Available in Black and Beige or Black and Espresso, this jacket keeps you warm and ready for whatever the night may bring. Last but not least, the Kourt Faux Leather Mini Skort is a major forever staple in my everyday wardrobe. Available in black, white, and silver, this ultra-mini skirt features a sultry side slit with secure built-in shorts for added security. I don’t know about you, but all this talk about leather makes me want to watch Grease.

5.) Fully Dressed

When in doubt, a dress will do nicely. Personally, I actively look for excuses to wear dresses, and holiday season is no exception. With countess options for holiday mini dresses and semi-formal dresses alike, it can be hard to find the perfect one for the specific occasion. Here are some styles that are exceptionally hot and trendy this Thanksgiving season.

The Ember Halter Neck Satin Mini Dress was made for holiday events with satin fabric, a halter neckline with scarf detailing, and a open back silhouette. The Christmas red is fit for any formal gathering, especially in November and December. For a sexier style, try on the Breanne One Shoulder Ruffle Mini Dress which features all over ultra-flattering ruching, a one-shoulder, adjustable spaghetti strap, unique side cascading ruffle, and micro mini fit. This design is small, but mighty and is definitely special enough for a Friendsgiving fling. Tried and true, the Josie Strapless Open Back Mini Dress is a best seller time and time again. Available in cherry red and cobalt blue for the season. This chic, open cowl back, smocked strap, strapless mini dress is a crowd pleaser at any holiday event. For a more formal take, slip into the Zora One Shoulder Pleated Midi Dress and get ready to eat…literally. This underrated on shoulder dress is elegant and festive; available in a deep red and features a asymmetrical silhouette, waist cutout, and a plisse crimped texture. Now you’re officially R.S.V.P. ready!
