4 Hairstyles to Tame Your Beach Mane

4 Hairstyles to Tame Your Beach Mane

With spring break right around the corner, I am more than ready to be soaking up the sun and drinking fruity cocktails with all my friends. While we’re bronzing away in our bikinis, I want to make sure my hair is in total control; mermaid hair doesn’t always come naturally. To kiss this worry away, we put together four beachy hairstyles you can try at home and debut this spring break!

Braided Half-Up Bun

The braided half up bun is the perfect twist on your classic half up half down bun.  To create this look, divide off a section of your hair from the corners of your forehead. Simply French braid the section until you reach the back of your head, and top it off with a messy bun! While I’m at the beach, I like to keep my hair clear from my face, and this is the perfect hairstyle for that! Having a section of your hair up in a bun will also help control any frizz that comes with beach humidity.

Boho Face Framing Braids

To truly channel your inner flower child, try our boho face framing braids! This look is super simple to create! Just middle part your hair, and make two tiny braids on either side. This 70’s inspired hairstyle is great for the beach- it’ll frame your glowing face, while still keeping bothersome strands of hair out of the way!

Space Buns

Our space buns look has mermaid written all over it! Simply section off your hair from the corners of your forehead, and divide that section into a middle part. On each side of the part, create a little bun- they can be higher up on your head, or more towards the back for a more relaxed look. To take this style to the next level and fulfill your mermaid potential, hairspray your middle part and apply glitter to your roots! Totally psychedelic, this effect will you have you sparkling through all your spring break parties!

Gypsy Scarf Up-Do

For the gypsy scarf up do, I say the messier the bun the better! To create this bohemian look, tie your hair in a messy bun at the very top of your head. Leave strands around your face and in front of your ears out of the bun for an effortless look. This hairstyle works great with our Amuse Society Casanova Scarf. Wrap the scarf around your hair like a head band, tying it off at the back of your neck for longer scarves. The gypsy scarf up-do is perfect for tanning your back, ensuring full coverage from the sun rays!

Ride the wave all summer long & feature these hairstyles in your festival looks!
