Now that the holidays are officially over, many of us are trying to start the new year strong by getting our fitness routines in check. Yoga is the perfect year-round physical activity because you can do it just about anywhere and you don't need any special equipment. Yoga focuses on building strength, flexibility and mental clarity. You can use yoga first thing in the morning to get your body warmed up and ready for the day or in the evening to wind down and relax before going to bed. If the cold weather really has you down, try making a trip to a hot yoga studio for a quick summer dopamine rush that’s sure to get you excited for the warmer days ahead!
Pilates
Similarly to yoga, Pilates is a quick and accessible workout that you can do virtually anywhere. Pilates is a core-focused workout that strengthens and stretches your body at the same time. If you love cardio, but the frosty outdoor conditions are keeping you from achieving that runners high… worry no more! There are plenty of movements you can do inside to get that heart rate up, such as:

Seasonal depression is a very real thing and can cause us to feel unmotivated, especially when it comes to working out.
